Richard Williams reports back on a fine day out at the Wye Valley Warrior sportive at the start of May:
‘I had a great day at the Wye Valley Warrior bike ride on Sunday 1st. Starting from Chepstow Racecourse we soon were climbing, then had a beautiful down hill section past Tintern Abbey, and off to the Forest of Dean. Ended up climbing over 6000 ft during the ride, some of the hills being 3 mile long slow gradual ascents, with stunning views of the valleys filled with rapeseed.
All in all a well organised , brilliant day out; ending with me having enjoyed myself so much, I cycled home, back across the Severn bridge, and making the ride 120 miles long.’
